A World Exclusive. Six Years in the Making.
When the Jonas Brothers decided to document their reunion, the Sydney episode needed to hold its own against every other city in the film. That meant someone who could run the whole thing from arrival: locations, crew, transport, security, accommodation. And do it while keeping the reunion itself completely secret until the announcement was ready.
Garrett Robinson took on the role of Australian Line Producer. What followed was two weeks of some of the most complex production logistics run in Sydney in years.
The Central Challenge: Joe Jonas on The Voice
While the brothers were filming in Australia, Joe Jonas was simultaneously committed to The Voice Australia as a judge. His call times, tapings and media appearances did not stop. The filming schedule had to flex every day around those commitments while Nick and Kevin managed their own packed lives. Garrett built a production structure that absorbed every change without losing a shooting day.
On top of that, this was a world exclusive on a story that had not yet been announced publicly. The brothers were preparing to reveal their reunion to the world. Any leak during production would have broken the story. That requirement shaped every logistical decision, from how the incoming US crew was accommodated to how local crew were briefed.

The City of Sydney responded. Garrett worked closely with local government bodies and private entities to secure access that reflects two decades of existing relationships. The objective was straightforward: the Sydney leg of the documentary had to stand alongside every other city the brothers visited. It did.
